Project Overview
This Frisco kitchen was ready for a complete transformation. The existing space featured aging gray cabinetry, a protruding non-counter-depth refrigerator, bar-height island seating that overwhelmed the room, and dated wrap-around track lighting. Storage was limited, functionality was compromised, and a recessed wall niche remained unused. The goal was to reimagine the kitchen with thoughtful storage solutions, improved proportions, and a cohesive, elevated aesthetic that felt intentional and timeless.
Design Approach
We focused on correcting scale, improving flow, and maximizing every inch of available space. By lowering the island to counter height and introducing warmer materials, the kitchen immediately became more inviting and functional. Oversized white pendants replaced the track lighting to provide softer, more architectural illumination, while custom cabinetry solutions helped disguise existing constraints – most notably the non-counter-depth refrigerator, which was seamlessly integrated with deeper surrounding cabinetry to create a built-in look.
To address the recessed wall niche, we designed a custom dry bar tailored precisely to the space. This feature not only solved a layout challenge but also became a focal point that adds both beauty and purpose to the kitchen.
