Step 1: The Discovery Call
Every process must begin with a Discovery Call. It is roughly 20 minutes in length and simply allows us to have a casual conversation about what you are looking to accomplish and how I can help. I ask that you please review my portfolio to ensure that Mavella Home’s signature aesthetic is a good fit for you. If you don’t know where to start, or haven’t worked with an Interior Designer before, don’t worry, I’m here for you!

Step 2: The Initial Consultation
After the Discovery Call, we will mutually agree to move onto the second step, which is the Initial Consultation. This meeting is 1-2 hours in length and allows me the opportunity to meet you in your home and take a tour of the space(s) in question. We’ll discuss your project goals, scope of work, and investment amount. We’ll review any inspiration photos you may have to understand your design aesthetic. We’ll cover Mavella Home’s design process and payment structure, so that you will know what to expect and how to move forward. The Initial Consultation fee must either be paid beforehand, or upon arrival.
Step 3: Custom Tailored Design
Just like not every home and remodel is a one-size-fits-all, neither are design packages. I will create a custom design that is tailored to fit your needs, aesthetic, and budget. This design will be unique to you and a reflection of who you are. After the Initial Consultation, I will have an understanding of the scope of work for your project. Once the scope is approved, I will present a flat rate design fee, based on how long I think the project will take in hours. This is also the time to get excited because you are one step closer to achieving the design of your dreams!
It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Nicole during our remodel project. From her website, to her options of service, to the desired outcomes of the project, Nicole was right on target! I am a builder, and it was refreshing to work with a designer that worked alongside of me to ensure success. We will be working with Nicole on phase 2 and 3 of the project and looking forward to it! ~ Joe C, Harrison Township
